Drawbacks of Blogging

The five drawbacks of blogging are as follows:  First the initial period takes a lot of hard work and dedication to start and then it takes time and patience to maintain a successful blog.  You need regular posts to keep your blog alive and interesting in order to maintain visitors and to also attract new visitors.  You need to keep your readers entertained so they keep coming back for more or they can lose interest.  Another drawback of blogging is that once you post something it is very difficult to delete it from the web.  You need to be careful what you post so you don't regret it later.  The third drawback of blogging is that people can write something negative about a company and that can lead to bad publicity.  Another disadvantage of blogging is that businesses and companies can get caught up in legal battles if they don't comply to local, national and foreign business requirements.  One other drawback is that people can spend a lot of time in front of the computer and, therefore, other activities get pushed aside.  You can become lazy or just plain neglectful to the point that your not meeting other obligations.  The last drawback of blogging is that it is not a get-rich quick means.  If you are trying to earn money by blogging you need to realize that it takes years before it starts make any substantial amount of money for you.  It can also be expensive if you spend money marketing your blog and if you use affiliates or advertisers to market your content.
